Pain is Temporary but Constant
This piece is titled "pain is temporary but constant". I did this piece about having chronic migraines, which I've had since highschool. In highschool, I was bed ridden for weeks to months at a time various times. My life consisted of being in bed, or being at the doctor trying to get relief- or having a day where the pain wasn't as bad and catching up on all the school work I missed. I'm grateful that I don't have them as bad nowadays, but I still get them to this day- I thought the title speaks to living with chronic migraines- and can also be applied to life in general. The reason I chose to paint the eye is because sometimes it literally feels like my eyes are being scooped out.
